| I myself love to fish for salmon in the fall from shore in feeder creeks.Get them in shallow water and you have a great fight. | |

| Yep...
Nothing like a 30lb+ flathead sounding off the ol' baitclicker about 2am on a quite Saturday night !!!! I have a 200 gallon bait tank behind the house with about 20 6-12" bullheads for bait just waiting for me to go again...lol
Problem is.. since if started Taxidermy all I want to catch now is Bass and big Bluegills so I can mount something.
Matt... what river do you fish in? Ever heard of the B.O.C. forum?
Take care.. Sam.. Albany, GA | |

| Well if they fight harder than big channel cats I would see why you target them.I spend most of the summer fish for channels. | |

| I once explained the difference to a friend by comparing them to real cats...
Bullheads are like house cats Channel catfish are like bobcats Bluecats are like tigers Flatheads are like LIONS... the kings of the predators
To me.. flatheads are one of the very best tasteing freshwater fish and a very firm and white meat.. excellent table fare. I have about 6-7 good meals but up in the freezer now and after this post I think its time to thaw out a meal.
